What is Comicslist?
Comicslist is a da account for the listing and promotion of webcomics and print comics created by members of deviantART. Basically if you are  deviant and you have a comic you post online or self publish and it's available on or off DA, you can get your comic listed for others to browse through and read.
For more information on getting your comic listed, visit Comicslist

So whats this about reviews?
If you have an online comic, you probaly know reviews are a very popular activity related to comics. There are lots and lots of review blogs, ranking sites, and the like. Reviews are a great way to see where you are making mistakes, what people like and don't like and how you can improve your work.
Reviews are also fantastic exposure for your comic, people can read a review before taking the time to read it themselves, giving them insite into the comic in it's entirety and getting little tidbits that'll make them curious to read for themselves.

Yeah! I like writing reviews....can I?
The deviantART community is very welcome to review comics and submit them to Comicslist.
There are a few stipulations, just one actually.

Only reviews of comics listed on Comicslist will be accepted for submission to the Comicslist account.

:bulletgreen: Comics that are review friendly (no permission needed) will be indicated with this marker: Review Friendly by Comicslist

:bulletred: Comics that do not want to be reviewed or emailed about reviews will wear this marker: Do Not review by Comicslist
Do not review these comics for any reason.

:bulletyellow: Comics not sporting any graphic at all need to be asked permission (via note) before you review their comic.

Reviews should be submitted Via note to Comicslist, however before you review our comics, please read full details here: comicslist.deviantart.com/jour…
It will let you know how to submit, what the minimum requirement for reviews should be and the like.

On a side note, of those of you who post regular, quality reviews, you may be asked to join the review board. The review board will attempt to review all new review friendly comics as well as review comics that submit to the review board. More on that when the times comes, but keep in mind, if you are a good and regular reviewer, you may get on the board.

I have a comic, can I get reviewed?
Well, if you are listed on Comicslist, Yes.
If you are not, you will need to get on the list!

If you are the owner of a comic on Comicslist and want to be reviewed, please note Comicslist and tell me the name of the comic and whether it is a comic, manga or fancomic, I will indicate your review friendlyness.
Alternatively, if you do not want reviews EVER please also note Comicslist with the same information.

How will the reviews be posted?
The reviews will be posted as deviations as you can see here:
Daqueran Review by drinkdecafDaqueran by misskittyoooo

Making a comic that “works” is a lot harder than it looks. Having great art, or a great story, or even an in depth understanding of all the nuances that go into a comic are not always enough to give a finished product that is compelling. misskittyoooo's Daqueran is a good example, though, of a comic that really “works.” It draws you in to a characters personality and story, and makes you care what happens next.
Artistically, the comic is extremely well done – I usually found the artwork to be the best part of a page. It was colored by two deviants – chapter one was done digitally by ArtisticAunJuli, while the rest was colored traditionally by misskittyoooo. Though I liked the digital style more, the hand colored comics definitely have a distinctive feel that makes the comic feel quite different than most I've seen (M
Breach Spheres Review-drinkcafBreach Spheres by Elixia-Dragmire

Distinct characters can make or break a comic series, a fact which SamChapmanDraws seems to understand well. Though the characters are all fairly "standard" fantasy races, it is their personalities which give the comic life and add interest to their stories. In Breach Spheres' short 20 page run (at the time of this review), we pick up five main characters and learn their varied motivations for venturing into Elderbark Forest, as well as meet a varied cast of extras, villains and unknowns.
The comic's overall look is quite good - a lot of work has obviously gone into making each page. Character designs are well done and consistent, making keeping track of its many characters much easier. Artistically, the style is fairly unique - It's somewhat cartoony, somewhat realistic, with a strong "hand drawn" feel. Elixia's layouts are fairly
Malaak review by drinkdecafMalaak, Angel of Peace by Cedarseed

Taking the reader to another culture or another place is one of the hallmarks of a good story, and really bringing them into that culture will always make the experience memorable. Cedarseed's Malaak, Angel of Peace follows the story of a Lebanese superhero and the struggles of her fellow countrymen. From the ancient powers that protect the land to the food, dress and talk in almost every comic, Cedarseed does a fantastic job of bringing the reader into her world and sharing what she sees in it.
From page one the comic is well drawn, colored and finished, and uses an interesting combination of cartoon art and the occasional photo background. The drawings in particular are nicely done, with a lot of thought obviously going into how each character looks, often closely associated with their personality. The photo backgrounds aren't personally my most favorite thing e
Glass Urchin- HexaditidomThe Glass Urchin is an autobiographical comic. Represented by Ami the hedgehog, the author communicates various aspects of her life - the good and the bad, the humorous and the serious.
Design: 5/5
Ami has instant appeal with a simple design. And contrary to what might have popped into your head when you read "Ami the hedgehog", she's not a video game fan-character -- the design is much more like an actual hedgehog. A breath of fresh air, to say the least. There is a whole cast of animal characters representing the people she interacts with often. Most strangers, though, are represented as humans rather than animals. I feel this is a strength; it shows that the author's skills are varied, and will please readers who don't prefer to look at cuddly animals the whole time.
Art: 4/5
Early strips were drawn in pencil, but the author has since moved to pen. All strips are grayscale and shaded digitally. Visually, this comic is well done, and I saw fewer and fewer mistakes as the strip progre

This seems like a really neat idea. I'm going to look into it, possibly write a journal about it too!
